When submitting a request, you may be asking yourself, is this a Design or Marketing Hours request? We're here to explain the difference!
Design (or graphic design) requests are anything that can be created in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. Think social media posts, marketing collateral, posters. This is a general rule of thumb when you're thinking about submitting a design request. Can it be done in Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign? If not, it's probably a Marketing Hours request.
Marketing Hours requests are for all the activities our Specialists do. Think copywriting, content strategy, social media scheduling, paid ads campaign set-up. These are things that require a Specialist to complete and while they may include some design aspect, they aren't inherently a graphic design request.
Below, we want to break down some common examples of what we call "on the line requests" to help you determine if your request is a Design or Specialized Hours Request.
Website edits, even design related, are Marketing Hours requests. If we're editing an image on a website, that's a Design request. If we're changing the placement of said image, that's a Marketing Hours request.
Custom illustration is a Design request. Some other companies will charge Marketing Hours for that, but we believe it's inherently design related.
